Storage Decisions Chicago 2007 - The Conference for Storage IT Pros

For some odd reason I just love storage and storage virtualization.

I will be attending the Storage Decisions Conference May 15th - 17th 2007 in Chicago IL and look forward to catching up on whats new. I have attended this particular show a few times along with a few other comparable shows and always come back to this. Dont get me wrong SNW is a great show but I nether a VAR nor a vendor and last time I attended the show i felt somewhat out of place.

This particular show seems to do a good job balancing the exposure to vendor products and also maintaining a good relationship to peers.

they tag this show as “The Best 3 Days You Can Spend Out of the Office” and I have to agree with them. Now that can go several ways, this show (among most IT shows) is not based on the parties found at other events … lets say AdTech (as i hear the stories). However, it is packed with days of knowledge from breakout sessions and a great place to tackle all of your storage questions with several vendors in one place. This like many others depends what you want to get out of it.

This year we will be attending with a little different focus trying to tackle better solutions for BCP/DR and backups.

Although it seems that several speakers I have seen in the past, I am looking forward to meeting Dan Pollack from America Online and a fewl others that look to put an interesting spin on the world of storage.

Personally, if you are in storage and you need to stay on top of your game - attend this free conference and look us up in the windy city!
