Server Blade Summit 2007

As many of you may know, I have been following the blade markets from the day the first RLX blade was released. Its been great watching the industry take shape and i feel very lucky to play the part that I have been given.

May 1st will be theĀ first day of the Server Blade Summit at the Anaheim Marriott in Anahein, CA. I spoke at this event last year but had to miss this year due to scheduling and about 8000 things that I cant quite get off of my plate.

Here is an excerpt from the site:
The sixth annual Server Blade Summit,Blades and Virtualization: The Perfect Marriage, will feature major keynote addresses from top industry experts at the forefront of these hot technologies with the potential to deliver significant results in improved IT operations and reduced costs. This industry conference addressing these solutions is set for May 1-3, 2007 at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, CA.

The event last year covered some technology issues very close to my heart - power, cooling, storage and virtulization. Last year I spoke in two events covering an end user case study.

I also spoke at the last event of the day covering some of the following issues:

  • ATCA Carrier Blade Design — Sergio Nunes, Celestica
  • Building Media Servers and Gateways with AdvancedTCA– David Asher, NMS Communications
  • 10 GBE Data Fabric for ATCA Application — Luan Nguyen, Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc.
  • Using InfiniBand to Enhance Server Blade Virtualization Performance — Sujal Das, Mellanox Technologies
  • Enterprise Grade Open Source Virtualization — Simon Crosby, XenSource
  • A New Operations Paradigm for Blade Infrastructure — David Van, Xceedium
  • Sergio Nunes, Celestica; David Asher, NMS Communications; — Luan Nguyen, Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc.

At any rate, I wish I could have made it this year and look forward to the online documentation.

I will however be attending the BladeSystems Insight April 10-12 2007

    Hello Kyle,

Your article was brought to my attention this morning and would be interested in speaking to you as you reference that you will be attending BSI. Will you be attending as Press, End User or a Vendor?

    Thanks,
    Phil
