Process Explorer saves the day … Technet download.

This little trick is a definite must for any system administrator.

If you haven’t done so yet, go to the below URL and download this very helpful tool.

Good ol’ “ctrl + alt + delete” - useful, but very limited to what you can see. This application will give you a much better look at what your PC/Server is doing at any given moment including which handles and DLLs are in use.

Now that you are hooked on the app, replace it as the default for the next time you have to enter the task manager.

You can do this by going to the options menu and selecting “Replace Task Manager”
