Comment on Unboxing Ricavision’s Vista MCE SideShow remote by kyle.ohme

The remote is cool – it’s a fun concept that you can interact with your media center. If I had more time and I could make my own sideshow tools for the home automation it would be perfect!

The remote itself works much better then the MCE remote from MS as far as IR is concerned.

The now playing feature is cool – cool I can get some RSS Feeds of events in the house when I come home ..

Set up right this is a handy little remote.

I would be willing to sell for $299 or trade it for a pronto or a Harmony 1000

Haha – thanks Ting!

Its funny, I have hacked the Xbox and PS2 … just haven’t got around to the Wii yet! I have found some really cool things you can do with it – I think that my favorite is actually the Automation project.

I also built a MAME – that was a fun project .. lots of tinkering but fun to play the old games.

This winter I hope to have the time to look at some options =)
