Bulk Change User Permissions in Exchange Calendar

One feature that does not seem very intuitive within Microsoft Exchange is the ability to change permissions to a group of users.

We had a request to open all calendar events for all users so scheduling would become easier. Unfortunately exchange does not have a very up front method of doing this and through several searches finally found a way. So to all of the exchange administrators blessed with this task; here it goes.

In Exchange you have the ability do the following:

1) get the user to set the permissions.

2) grant full permissions and log in to do it yourself one by one

3) use a tool to automate the job.

In this case the only one worth explaining is the ability to automate it.

You want to use a product called Setperm and you can download it form http://www.amset.info/downloads/Setperm.zip

I was able to find some good directions on this process - Simon Butler did a great job explaining this process and the article can be found here: http://www.amset.info/exchange/folderpermissions.asp
